Ernest “Eddie” Edwin Antes Jr., 46, of Landenberg died on Saturday, March 22, at the Jennersville Regional Hospital, Penn Township.He was the husband of Catherine Crossan Antes, with whom he shared 22 years of marriage.
Born in West Chester, he was the son of Anna Mae McKinney Antes of Landenberg and the late Ernest Edwin Antes Sr.
Mr. Antes was employed by Wilkinson Farms, where he worked since he was 13 years old.
He enjoyed rearing his two children, and especially enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and his enduring personality will be missed by all.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Ernest “Ernie” Edwin Antes III of Landenberg; one daughter, Tiffany Lynn Antes of Landenberg; two sisters, Beverly Hunter of Marietta and Carol Diaz of Nottingham. He was a devoted uncle for nine nieces and four nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit with his family on Thursday morning, March 27, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Avon Grove Church of the Nazarene, 240 E. State Road, West Grove. His funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Kemblesville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
